Brief biography of partner

The Fraunhofer Institute for Technological Trend Analysis INT, based in Euskirchen, Germany, is part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Europe’s leading organization for applied research. Fraunhofer INT specializes in providing scientifically based assessments and foresight analyses of technological developments and their impacts on society, security, and innovation. The institute conducts interdisciplinary research on emerging technologies, defense and security innovations, and strategic planning for public and private organizations.

The business unit Public Technology and Innovation Planning (TIP) supports civilian public sector clients through strategic planning and innovation management. It strengthens public sector capabilities by identifying innovation needs and co-developing tailored solutions to address major societal transformations such as digitalization, geopolitical change, and climate adaptation. Fraunhofer INT applies this coordination expertise in European initiatives such as Firelogue, a Green Deal project on wildfire risk management, where it coordinated research integration, dialogue among stakeholders, as well as innovation transfer.

Our team has experience in every aspect of communications, including strategic communications planning, event management, media relations, media training, reputation management, issue and crisis management, government relations, stakeholder engagement, internal communications, social media and video production.

Role in the project

Fraunhofer INT coordinates the DARE project, managing administration, communication, and alignment across all partners. As the main intermediary with the European Research Executive Agency (REA), it ensures effective collaboration and compliance. Fraunhofer INT further provides strategic leadership across work packages, it leads Work Package 7 on Dissemination, Exploitation, and Innovation Management, and integrates foresight and innovation planning to link research with operational goals.
