Brief biography of partner
ESAF provides training leading to a vocational diploma or degree for firefighters, fire-subofficers, fire-officers and emergency response centre operators. In addition to vocational training, ESAF provides training for national and international professionals in the field of civil protection. EASF is also responsible for the education and system and curriculum of contract fire brigade personnel training In Finland.
EASF is responsible for the training and recruitment of Finnish experts to international civil protection deployments including the provision of courses such as Basic Course on International Civil Protection. Training, Training for Civil Protection Trainers, Modules Management Workshop to enhance leadership skills for those in command roles within international civil protection formations, Technical Assistance and Support Team (TAST) Refresher Course,, or Safety Course.
Role in the project
ESAF contributes its expertise in rescue services education and international civil protection to support the development of harmonized training modules and operational procedures. It participates in field exercises, interoperability assessments, and research activities aimed at enhancing cross-border emergency response capabilities across Europe.
