The DARE project was pleased to contribute to the CERIS Workshop “Innovation Uptake on Wildfire Preparedness”, held on 12 March 2026 in Brussels.
During the panel discussion on the uptake of research and innovation results in the civil security domain, Claudia Berchtold (Fraunhofer FKIE), Coordinator of the DARE project, shared insights on how European collaborative research can effectively support operational preparedness and resilience to wildfires.
The panel brought together key stakeholders from industry, research organisations, and public authorities, fostering an exchange on pathways to strengthening novation uptake and cross-sector cooperation. The discussion highlighted the importance of translating technological advances in battling wildfires into practical solutions that address real-world challenges faced by civil protection actors.
DARE continues to actively engage with the European security research community, contributing to dialogue and knowledge exchange that support the transition from research outcomes to operational impact.
