Since 1 October 2025, and for a period of three years, EPLFM has been involved in the DARE project, contributing specifically to the work on C2S.
EPLFM (Valabre) is strongly committed to European cooperation projects, supported by the proactive engagement of its management team. In the accompanying interview (DARE Project Interview 1), Senior Colonel Inès highlights this commitment and the organisation’s contribution to strengthening European civil protection capabilities.
As part of this commitment, EPLFM will host a section of the DARE consortium together with around ten experts from EU Member States. From 29 June to 2 July 2026, a trial will be conducted to test DASHBOARD, a support tool designed for reinforcement detachments.
The trial will be based on the French training framework for technical firefighting skills. The simulator used is a high-performance tool for analysing operational procedures. Firefighters in France and partner countries use it to develop and validate their knowledge in operational environments that closely reflect real-life conditions.
Colonel JP Monet plays a key role in promoting interoperability between emergency response detachments. In this context, the trial represents an important milestone. The accompanying interview (DARE Project Interview 2) outlines the objectives and expected outcomes of the exercise.
During the trial, European experts will work through two large-scale wildfire scenarios: one using the DASHBOARD tool and one without it. Comparing the outcomes of these exercises will help identify areas for further development and improve the operational understanding and coordination of reinforcement elements.
Once again, EPLFM (Valabre) is drawing on the expertise of its simulation research and international relations departments to organise this event.
