Representatives of the DARE Project took part in the 2026 Projects to Policy Seminar in Brussels, a key event bringing together European security research projects, policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders to strengthen the connection between research results and policy development.
During the two-day seminar, DARE contributed to discussions within the Disaster Resilient Societies (DRS) thematic area and participated in sessions focusing on Research & Innovation Activities as well as Exploitation & Innovation. The project was represented by its Coordinator, Claudia Berchtold (Fraunhofer FKIE), who presented DARE’s approach to enhancing disaster resilience through innovative tools, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based solutions designed to support decision-makers and first responders across Europe.
The seminar provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences with fellow Horizon Europe projects, engage with representatives of the European Commission and the European Research Executive Agency (REA), and explore pathways to maximise the impact and uptake of research outcomes.
DARE’s participation reinforced the project’s commitment to supporting more resilient societies through collaborative research, innovation, and knowledge sharing. The event also highlighted the importance of ensuring that research results effectively contribute to policy development and operational practice in the field of disaster resilience.
